Unevoc Center

The UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training is one of seven institutes of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and acts for the development of technical and vocational education. In addition to general conferences, which bring together countries from all over the world, UNEVOC promotes regional meetings to discuss common challenges, share good practices and propose initiatives to strengthen technical and vocational education.

UNEVOC implements its activities through a world network of institutions. Since December 2016, Conif is one of the representative centers in Brazil. The initiative enables the expansion of Conif’s activities, the expansion of international cooperation and exchange. It also opens perspectives for the development of joint actions that promote relevant results to the increase of the quality of vocational education throughout the world.

The partnership with UNEVOC converges with Conif's main guidelines for internationalization, including the promotion of regional integration, the use of international cooperation as an instrument for the increase of public policies of vocational education and the dissemination of successful experiences from multilateral actions.

Being a representative of such a big and diverse Network, Conif acts to contribute with UNEVOC in the following aspects:

- sharing of experiences;

- organization of forums (virtual and on-site) that promote interaction between the coordinators of the five regions, notably the Latin American and Caribbean sub-region;

- systematization of data referring to the Federal Network of Vocational, Scientific and Technological Education;

- interlocution with representatives of Brazilian and international institutions;

- UNEVOC’s promotion of activities.
